Central Administration
Welcome to the central administration. All administrative matters are handled here. We have four departments dedicated to this: Human Resources, Finance, Infrastructure, and Technical Building Management.
All departments are coordinated by the Head of Administration. The Head of Administration is supported in his decision-making by the Legal/Contract Review/Patents and Reporting/Statistics departments.

Head of Human Ressources
Welcome to Human Ressources of the Central Administration. Together with the board of directors we are coordinating the payroll accounting and control the personnel costs to guarantee permanent employment. Our major task is the individual support of our colleagues from engagement until resignment from our institution. We want to support our colleagues in all questions concerning their employment relationship.
Head of Finance Management & Controlling
The Finance & Controlling department is responsible for the complete financial and accounting processing of all business transactions of the center.
The work is based on supporting research operations and staff while adhering to the legal frameworks set by funding bodies, such as the state budget regulations.
Head of Purchasing & Logistics
The Purchasing & Logistics department is responsible for ensuring the smooth and cost-effective flow of goods at the Borstel Research Center, in accordance with public procurement law. The goal is to consolidate requirements, process them centrally, and standardize them using technical solutions.
This includes the procurement of all goods and services relevant to research, infrastructure, and administration.

Head of Technical Building Management
Welcome to the Technical Building Management. It is our duty to stand on the side of the scientists at the Research Center to help them realise their research assignment. One of our main duties is the servicing and maintenance of the buildings and the constructions and the park. We advise the planning of technical and constructional measures. We organise and carry out all moves within our site. We are also contact persons in the field of protection of labour and nature.
